Son Julia Boutique hotel in Mallorca has a grand piano! And I love it when I get to play one! A London couple asked me to play during their wedding breakfast. I lived in London for many years before moving to Mallorca and I used to work in various high class piano bars and hotels in Mayfair. It took me back immediately to those days – sipping a whiskey sours in my Pine Bar at the Milllenium Mayfair, talking to spies (genuinely, it’s right next door to all the embasseys). So if you’re getting married somewhere and there is a grand piano at the venue – take advantage! I still sang, brought my mic and little PA along, but it’s just so nice to be playing real keys that hit real strings. Lovely stuff!
